School Wide Grading Policy
School Year 2023-2024
Assessments – 60% | Including, but not limited to tests/quizzes, pre/post unit assessments, end of the unit projects/special projects, presentations; labs, journals, etc. |
Engagement – 30% | Including but not limited to participation, attending behaviors, speaking and listening activities, questioning and discussions, self-regulation, etc. |
Homework – 10% | |

Numeric Course Grades Students will receive a number grade 55-64 = failing grade 65-100 = passing grade |
NOTE:
- The components of this grading policy will be used to inform student grades for all courses and will be entered in STARS for student report cards in both NYSAA and standardized classes. All teachers should be tracking assessments, engagement, and homework in record books.
- School building or department policy for make-up work based on district policy outlined in student handbook.
