Need to get an IEP translated?
The Department of Education’s Translation & Interpretation Unit is providing families and schools within District 9, 24 and 75 with central support to translate current Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) at no cost.
If your child does not attend one of the pilot schools and you would like to request a translation of your child’s IEP, please contact your child’s IEP team for support.
Eligible families must have a child with a current school-aged IEP who:
- Attends a public (DOE or charter) school in District 9, District 24 or District 75; or
- Is turning 5 years old in 2020 and lives in District 9 or District 24, or has their turning-5 IEP meeting at a District 75 school.
If eligible, request a translation at your child’s school or select one of the options here
